My brother Chip Beale inadvertently captured an incredible video of glowing blue ionized energy arcing across a power line looking for a place to ground in the yard across the street from his house during a storm with hail and insane winds in Dayton, OH. The blue color and sound are amazing.
DP&L (Dayton Power & Light) director of operations Don Gebele made a video explaining what is happening with the arc flash that that Chip documented. He also included some storm and electricity safety tips that people should keep in mind during situations like this.
