Close, A Self-Portrait Made Out of 7,000 Bottle Caps
“CLOSE” is a large scale self-portrait by artist Mary Ellen Croteau that she made out of 7,000 plastic bottle caps. The portrait, which measures seven feet by eight feet, takes its inspiration and title from the self-portraiture of Chuck Close. Croteau has posted instructions for aspiring bottle cap artists.
