Toyal Lotus is a water-repellent food packaging product that prevents yogurt from sticking to the lid of its container. Toyal Lotus is made by the Japanese company Toyo Aluminum K.K., and it is currently used by Meiji Bulgaria yogurt.
The creation of the coating was inspired by the hydrophobic effect on the surface of lotus leaves—demonstrated in a video by Husnain Manzoor.
