An Aging Suit Exoskeleton Designed to Make the Wearer Feel as if They Are 75 Years Old
In a recent episode of The Atlantic series If Our Bodies Could Talk, host James Hamblin tests an exoskeleton designed to make the wearer feel as if they are 75 years old. The suit is the Genworth R70i, and besides adding weight, the suit also alters range of motion, limits vision and hearing, and simulates conditions like arthritis to instantly age the wearer.
The goal of the suit, according to Genworth, is to reinforce “the importance of thinking about future long term care needs and talking to loved ones about how they would like to age.”
