‘Project Senium’, A Short Film Documenting the Disturbing Beauty of an Abandoned Mental Institution

Project Senium is a short film documenting the eerie beauty of Kings Park Psychiatric Center, an abandoned state-run psychiatric hospital in Kings Park, New York. Sunlight still pours through dusty windows to reveal heaps of broken furniture, medical records, medical equipment, and layer upon layer of graffiti.

The project was inspired by the urban exploration photography of Tom Kirsch and serves to extend the idea cinematically. The creators of the film are accepting donations on their website to fund future projects.
