Cryptome Shutdown by Verio/NTT

Cryptome

Cryptome, the controversial government information and free speech website run by John Young, is being shutdown by Verio/NTT without justification or prior notice of violations. Their account will be terminated on May 4th and therefore they need to find a new host soon. The storage and traffic resources required for Cryptome are beyond what Laughing Squid could host (our focus is hosting for small websites), but if you know of a host or someone who might be able to help out, have them contact John Young directly at cryptome[at]earthlink.net.

Cryptome welcomes documents for publication that are prohibited by governments worldwide, in particular material on freedom of expression, privacy, cryptology, dual-use technologies, national security, intelligence, and secret governance — open, secret and classified documents — but not limited to those.

Thanks to Dave Pifke for the tip!
