Hundreds of Volunteers Clear 12,000 Tons of Plastic Trash From a Beach in Mumbai
Back in January, Sky News featured an incredible report about hundreds of volunteers, including local schoolchildren, who cleared 12,000 tons of plastic trash from a beach in Mumbai. The trash came from a nearby slum that used a creek as a rubbish dump, however efforts are now underway to pay the residents to collect the plastic waste to be recycled.
