The Cat House on the Kings: A Cage-Free, Lifetime Cat Sanctuary

by Scott Beale on August 25, 2008 · 5 comments

The Cat House on the Kings, is no-cage, no-kill, lifetime cat sanctuary and adoption center run by Lynea Lattanzia in Parlier, California. There are currently over 700 cats living on the 12 acre sanctuary and all of them are up for adoption. Here’s more info on how you help out by making a donation, sponsoring a cat or volunteering.

Our mission is to place rescued cats and kittens into loving, permanent homes; to provide a safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted cats and kittens in a unique, no-cage facility; to prevent pet overpopulation through spaying and neutering; and to educate the public about responsible pet ownership.

Jack Perez made a really great mini-documentary about The Cat House on the Kings.

I knew I was in trouble when I saw the link on Friendfeed: I sponsored a cat 10 seconds after watching the video ;) I have 4 of them and I know it costs an arm and a leg…
Nice to know I now also have a cat over the pond in the States ;)

Awesome – I love it! Now I have something to add to my West Coast tour! Or maybe I'll just move there and volunteer . . . hmmm . . .
