The Almost-Annual Matt Armbruster Memorial Big Wheel Rally

The Almost-Annual Matt Armbruster Memorial Big Wheel Rally takes place this Saturday, August 25th in Boulder, CO. The event is a benefit for Saint Joseph Hospital Foundation and there is still time to register your big wheel. Check out the photos and video from previous years.

Here’s my previous write up on the Big Wheel Rally and its organizer Captain Obvious, who I met back in April at the Bring Your Own Big Wheel 2007 event.

Wow, this is amazing! We were kind of upset that we couldn’t reproduce a Downhill here in Toronto (because we don’t have any hills), but this is an almost-perfect solution! :D

I say almost because we try not to have any age-restricted events, but we could probably do this through BurnON

I can’t wait for this Saturday. It was so much fun last year. The best part is when people see our Big Wheels are they get transported back to when they were a kid. They ask, “Uh, could I ride your big wheel for a moment?” and then they laugh and do a power slide!

p.s. That’s me in the gold costume. Very silly!
