Maker Day 2007

Today was Maker Day, a preview and setup event for the makers who have gathered at the San Mateo Fairgrounds for this weekend’s Maker Faire 2007. Throughout the day there were talks by makers and large-scale installations were being setup including the Life Size Mouse Trap, The Disgusting Spectacle and RoboGames. The scale of this event is amazing and if you though last year was great, this year’s event is going blow it away. Here are the photos I shot today.

I can’t wait. I’ve never been. Any suggestions for a newbie?

John, just show up in comfortable shoes, light jacket and talk to as many people as you possibly can. All the Makers are there because they want to share.
