Father Dionisios Tabakis, a bearded Greek Orthodox priest in the Peloponnesian coastal town of Nafplio, Greece, removed the frets from his 8-string Harley Benton electric guitar and tuned it like an oud. This clever combination gave the traditional instrument a bit of a metal boost as he played.
