Hilariously Bizarre Azuki Bean Beards by Takao Sakai
As a commentary on fads in Japanese pop culture, artist Takao Sakai invented one of his own: azuki bean beards. He has been crafting beards for his “Azurer Project” since 2007, and has amassed photos of hundreds of bean beard wearers over the years. Sakai is bringing his bean beards to the New City Art Fair in New York City, which runs March 6 to 9, 2014.
