Detroit Metro Airport’s Psychedelic Tunnel

Here are some photos I shot as I traveled through the psychedelic tunnel between Northwest Airlines’ Concourse A and Concourse B & C in the McNamara Terminal at the Detroit Metro Airport. It’s nice of DTW to provide this addtional “trip” as you take your trip.

It’s eerie that in a city like Detroit there are no people. Though elegant and mysterious and all that, this kind of emptiness is one big reason why I’ve never liked sci-fi. It portrays a world devoid of the commonfolk.

Great photos, though. Oddly, it makes me want to visit Detroid and see what they’ve been doing the past few years.

WOW what a scene, that looks more like Aurora Beams coming from somewhere, seriously dude, that pic is nice, and the lights are looking very Sci-fi.

I encountered this tunnel on a recent trip and was quite mesmerized by it. I think it’s brilliant and a real grace note in that airport.

I’ll be on a stopover there with NW airlines as well, and now i’m looking forward to seeing this in person. Great pictures
