The Crate Digger Death-Match

The Crate Digger Death-Match ‘08 challenges 12 musicians to create an entire album in 12 hours using only $12 worth of music and materials. CDD takes place this Saturday, January 5th from 8am to 8pm and is being organized by Doctor Popular, TradeMark G and Z. Here’s more info, including the competition rules and judging.

The Crate Digger Death-match is an audio experiment wherein 12 different musicians attempt to create an entire album in under 12 hours using only $12 worth of cds, records, vhs tapes, or children’s toys as their instruments.

They are still looking for a few more competitors, prize sponsors and they could also use some tech help with a good system for the online judging.

Thanks for the link.

We are specifically looking for a way to make the event as instant and webified as possible.

The contestants come from all over, but will all share a hub online. Worst case, I’ll just host an mp3 for each artist and create a poll with the artists name and link to the mp3, but I’d love to have some sort of playlist with a ranking system. At the end of the voting, the singles will be ranked from 1-12 and those scores will be factored in with each of the judges 4 scores to determine the King of CDD. The less steps we could create between listening and voting, the more likely that all 12 artists will be heard fairly.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
