100 Guitar Riffs Performed in One Long Take

In this video, Chicago Music Exchange salesman Alex Chadwick performs 100 famous guitar riffs on a beautiful 1958 Fender Stratocaster in one long take. Chadwick starts the 12-minute set with Mr. Sandman by Chet Atkins and ends with Cruel by St. Vincent, giving his chronological history of rock n’ roll. The full detailed list of artists, keys, and year of each song is available at the 100 Riffs site.

According to MSNBC, he didn’t nail it on the first try and quotes him as saying, “I ruined a few good takes just by knocking over the slide I had to use on a few tracks, and I completely missed one of the re-tunings on one take…”
