This is Water, Beautiful Short Film Based on Speech by Late Author David Foster Wallace

“This is Water” is a beautiful short film that is based on part of a commencement speech given by the late author David Foster Wallace to the 2005 graduating class of Ohio’s Kenyon College. The film was created by The Glossary, a film production company run by brother and sister filmmakers, Matthew and Allison Freidell. They say about the speech, “It is, without a doubt, some of the best life advice we’ve ever come across, and perhaps the most simple and elegant explanation of the real value of education.”
