Real-Life Griswolds Travel to Walt Disney World in Custom ‘Vacation’ Style Station Wagon
A Georgia family with the real last name of Griswold has custom-made a Wagon Queen Family Truckster (station wagon) and traveled with it to Walt Disney World (instead of the fictional Walley World, of course) a la National Lampoon’s Vacation style. The dad, Steve Griswold, said that he has been teased about his last name and decided to “take it to the next level and actually build the truckster.” Vacation is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Disney Parks Blog has more of the story on this unique vehicle and the family’s adventure driving it to the theme park in Florida.
