President Obama and Conan O’Brien at the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner
President Barack Obama opened the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington, D.C. and cracked jokes, including some at his own expense. At one point, he said about getting older, “These days, I look in the mirror and I have to admit, I’m not the strapping young Muslim socialist that I used to be.” Later Conan O’Brien took the stage and poked fun at a variety of issues, including the decline of print media, saying “The print media is here for two reasons: food and shelter.”
