OrCam, A Google Glass-Like Aid For the Visually Impaired

http://youtu.be/ykDDxWbt5Nw

OrCam is an aid for the blind and visually impaired that consists of a small camera that can be clipped to the user’s glasses connected to a small computer in the user’s pocket. The sensor sees signs, objects, and people in front of the user and informs or reads text to users via a bone-conduction earpiece. OrCam comes with a library of recognizable objects, and users can also add to that library by shaking an item or waving their hand in front of their face. The device currently recognizes English text, and is available to purchase from the OrCam website.
