Night Photos of the International Car Forest of the Last Church in Nevada

In the outskirts of Goldfield, Nevada lies the “International Car Forest of the Last Church”—an art installation of 40 old cars, trucks, and buses lodged nose-first in the desert. The installation is a collaboration between Michael “Mark” Rippie and artist Chad Sorg. Since joining the project in 2011, Sorg has painted many of the vehicles with his lurid designs. Photographer Joe Reifer recently visited the installation at night and took these wonderfully surreal long exposure photos.
