‘I’m Not a Hacker’, A Short Film About a Disgruntled IT Technician
“I’m Not a Hacker” is a short film based on the Tom Oatmeal story of the same name that first appeared on Slacktory in 2011. It is narrated by a disgruntled IT technician who hates his job and the people he works with. It starts as a simple complaint about what he feels is a derogatory job title, but quickly descends into madness.
The film was directed by Andrew Stegmeyer and was produced by Thunderlab Digital Media. “I’m Not a Hacker” was an official selection of the Los Angeles Shorts Fest, Carmel Art & Film Fest, and the Toronto International Short Film Fest.
