The long-awaited, highly anticipated Deadwood reunion movie has been given the green light to move forward. This news came directly from HBO programming president Michael Lombardo who spoke in detail about the project with TVLine after announcing it at a Television Critics Association event on Thursday.
David [Milch] has our commitment that we are going to do it. …He pitched what he thought generally the storyline would be — and knowing David, that could change. But it’s going to happen. …He has something left unsaid. …I’ve known him for a while and it feels like it’s something he’s not done talking about.
