Disneyland’s Turkey Legs
While I was recently visiting Disneyland, I started noticing not only guests purchasing (and eating) giant turkey legs in the parks, but wonderfully quirky merchandise based on their iconic turkey legs in some of the shops. I was soon on a personal quest to document anything and everything to do with Disneyland’s turkey legs. Besides hitting all the food carts that sell the legs, I also looked for all the special merchandise I could find. There’s turkey leg t-shirts, caps, and even an air freshener.
Some history: turkey legs were first introduced at Walt Disney World in the early 1990s and later were made available at other Disney Parks. They are said to be spiced with ham spices which give them a unique flavor. Also, check out the Rice Krispies treat shaped like a turkey leg that was featured on the Disney Parks Blog last year.
