Canadian artist TALWST comments on contemporary culture and current events in tiny dioramas
that he crafts inside vintage jewelry boxes. Some of the dioramas touch upon pop culture figures like Banksy or delve into the surreal and whimsical. But others address tragic current events like the shooting of Michael Brown or the 2014 disappearance of 43 college students in Iguala, Mexico. The artist’s dioramas are currently on display at the Art Gallery of Mississauga in Mississauga, Ontario through April 12, 2015.
