A Sweet Service Dog In-Training Sits for a Caricature Portrait by While Spending a Fun Day at Disneyland

The parents of a woman named Katie sent to her an absolutely adorable picture of a sweet puppy named Yahoo as he sat for a caricature portrait of himself at Disneyland. Both Yahoo and another canine buddy spent a fun day in the company of their human handlers who wanted to provide an environment full of distractions. Yahoo and his friend are currently being trained to become service dogs through the wonderful, volunteer-driven Canine Companions for Independence (CCI). Jeanine Konopelski, marketing director at CCI, spoke with BuzzFeed about why the dogs were there.
Based on that photo, Yahoo is practicing basic obedience commands as he waits for his photo [to be] taken. …That’s a perfect training and socialization for one of our dogs to get used to waiting and sitting at attention.

CCI seeks to enhance “the lives of people with disabilities by providing highly trained assistance dogs” who are provided free of charge. Because Canine Companions for Independence relies upon funding from private resources, donations can be made here to help them keep up their amazing work.
