Edible Chocolate Brains Created From MRI Scan Data
The team at 3D technology company Inition has created an Edible Chocolate Brain, a brain-shaped chocolate candy created using sliced data sourced from an MRI scan. Interestingly, the scan data they used was from their co-founder Andy Millins. They put together a great video that shows just how they made it.
More information about the project from the Intition blog:
The team got to work by first extracting a 3D model from the sliced-image MRI data which was then 3D printed and used to create a latex mould for the casting of the chocolate brain…
Andy Millins…said: “I’ve been involved in some weird and wonderful 3D projects over the years at Inition but eating my own brain was certainly one of the most bizarre!”
