In celebration of the season five premiere of the popular itv/PBS series, Downton Abbey Atlanta cake and chocolate artist Karen Portaleo created an elaborate cake made in the perfect image of the Lady Violet Crawley, the Dowager Countess as brilliantly played by the incomparable Maggie Smith.
This cake was made for the Season 5 Premier event at The Fox Theater, hosted by Georgia Public Broadcasting. She was made of Vanilla cake and buttercream, with an Earl Grey Tea soak. It took 18 hours to make her.
