The QueensWay, A Proposed Park in Queens Similar to the High Line

The New York Times is reporting that an abandoned railway in Queens is being researched as a becoming the QueensWay, a park similar to Manhattan’s High Line. An organization called The Friends of the QueensWay is working with The Trust for Public Land to convert a desolate 3.5 miles stretch of the Long Island Railroad Rockaway Beach Branch into a public park.
