A supergroup featuring Cody Johnson, Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, Paul Rodgers of Bad Company, Slash of Guns N’ Roses, Chuck Leavell and Warren Haynes of the Allman Brothers Band, Wynonna Judd, and LeAnn Rimes performed a heartfelt tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd during the 2023 CMT Country Music Awards show with a badass medley of “Simple Man” and “Sweet Home Alabama”.
Also during the show, The Black Crowes performed their 1990 hit “She Talks to Angels” with guest vocalist Darius Rucker.
