Ridley Scott in Talks to Direct a Movie Version of the Classic British TV Series ‘The Prisoner’
Deadline Hollywood reports that award-winning director Ridley Scott is currently in negotiations to direct the film version of the classic British television series The Prisoner. Actor Patrick McGoohan conceived, wrote and starred in the original series as an unnamed former agent known as Number Six who doggedly tried to escape from the collective mentality of the mysterious Village where he was being held against his will. The show sadly only lasted one season, from 1967 to 1968.
