‘Poker Face’ Reimagined as Old-Timey Western Swing
Dustin Ballard of There I Ruined It reimagined the poppy Lady Gaga song “Poker Face” as an upbeat 1940s Western Swing tune complete with a string band, steel guitar, and raucous piano. The old-timey style works well with the song, particularly for the staccato vocals in the chorus. Ballard explained why he put this two together.
Being a Texas fiddle player, I kind of prefer this.
