The Ambassador Animals of the Oregon Zoo Devour Tantalizing Halloween Pumpkins

With the onset of their Halloween celebration, the ambassador animals of The Oregon Zoo enjoyed a yummy seasonal pumpkin inside their respective habitats. The devouring animals include rhinos, beavers, American black bearselephants, an African-spurred tortoise, a polar bear, and an African slender-snouted crocodile.

Let the gourd times roll

Black rhinos like Jozi and King feed on the leaves and twigs of woody plants and herbs (and pumpkins too)!

Squishin’ Accomplished. The elephant family enjoyed squishing (and snacking on) some giant pumpkins, courtesy of farmer Larry Nelson and Amanda Gilmour. A gourd time was had by all!
