At a competition held at Central Bucks West High School in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, 2014 U.S. National Champion Collin Burns set the new world record for fastest time solving a 3x3x3 Rubik’s Cube with an incredible 5.253 seconds.
This beats the previous world record of 5.55 seconds set by Mats Valk at the Zonhoven Open in 2013. A YouTube video shows the record-breaking effort, but the official results from the event have not yet been posted.
