San Francisco-based Munchery offers a restaurant-less way to order gourmet meals that are prepared daily by in-house chefs for home delivery at a reasonable price, either via their online menu or through their smartphone app. The menu changes daily and the meals are made with organic ingredients. Vegetarian, dairy-free, gluten-free, nut-free and vegan options are also offered, along with kids meals and beverages, all done without being or having a restaurant. Additionally, Munchery is offering $20 off the first meal and will donate a meal with every order.
Meals arrive on-demand or you can schedule delivery up to a week in advance for beyond-easy meal-planning. Dishes are fully cooked, chilled for maximum freshness, and served in oven- and microwave-safe containers for easy heating in less than ten minutes. Both on-demand and scheduled delivery is available. In keeping with the belief that everyone deserves a nourishing dinner made with quality ingredients, Munchery feeds a person in need with a donation to a local food bank with every order.
Delivery is currently available in San Francisco, Seattle, Los Angeles and New York City.
Sherpa Ventures co-founder Shervin Pishevar talks about “how Munchery is literally eating the world”.
Munchery is a full stack, end-to-end meal provider that specializes in delivery. It isn’t a restaurant and it isn’t a delivery service. It’s a whole new type of business that provides the quality of restaurant food with the convenience of ordering in. Using Munchery’s app or website, customers order from a daily changing menu. An average day might feature 50 unique items including entrees like spicy clam and chorizo pasta and chimichurri flank steak.
