I Liked You Better Deaf, Son Writes a Funny Song for His Formerly Deaf Father
For Christmas, Danny Hamilton wrote a funny song for his deaf father who recently acquired hearing aids affectionately titled “I Liked You Better Deaf.” Hamilton recounts all the mischief he could get away with as a boy when his dad was hard of hearing.
There used to be a time, it was rather recently
When I’d play something on the stereo
And mom would say “Danny won’t you turn that noise down”
And you’d say, “it’s already very low”
Seemed that I could always count on you
To come and take my side
