Heeb Storytelling: The Live Comics Edition takes pace on December 21st at Joe’s Pub in New York City.

A night of irreverent entertainment-graphic novel-style-curated by Heeb’s comics editor Jeff Newelt. Eight extraordinary comics creators will project their smart, funny and sexy comics on a big screen, accompanied by a soundtrack and shenanigans. Storytellers include downtown artist/impressaria MOLLY CRABAPPLE (Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School, Puppet Makers); AL JAFFEE, legendary creator of the MAD Magazine ” Fold-in” and “Snappy Answers to Stupid Questions”; PAUL POPE (Batman Year 100, Heavy Liquid, THB); JEFF NEWELT AKA JAHFURRY (The Pekar Project); SARAH GLIDDEN (How To Understand Israel in 60 Days or Less); CYNTHIA VON BUHLER (EVELYN EVELYN), DEAN HASPIEL (The Alcoholic-written by Jonathan Ames of HBO’s “Bored to Death”), erotic book editor/cupcake connoisseur RACHEL KRAMER BUSSEL, MISS LASKO-GROSS, creator off the graphic novels ESCAPE FROM SPECIAL and A MESS OF EVERYTHING, photocomix pioneer SETH KUSHNER and special guests TBA.
