In the latest episode of NOVA’s Secret Life of Scientists and Engineers, a grown up Danica McKellar, who’s most widely known as Winnie Cooper from the classic television show The Wonder Years, spoke about how she went from a promising career in acting to an even more promising career in math, how she became known as the girl who scored very high on her exams rather than for her role on television and how she discovered how she could be “smart, capable and valuable for something that had nothing to do with Hollywood.”
