Family, An Installation of a Family & Room Covered in Wooden Blocks
Dutch artist Levi van Veluw’s installation “Family” depicts five people sitting at a table in a room, where everything and everyone is covered in 20,000 wooden blocks. It may look like a static work of art, but as this incredible video of the installation shows, the figures are in fact live people (including the artist himself). “Family” is part of Veluw’s self-portrait series “Origin of the Beginning,” which depicts scenes from his childhood in installation, video, and performance.
