‘Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 3’, A Darkly Humorous Film That Warns Against Accepting Love From a Stranger

Becky Sloan and Joseph Pelling of Blink Films have created the darkly humorous cautionary short film Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 3, a follow up to their first two films, Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared and Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared 2, in which a main character, frustrated by his inconsiderate friends, falls prey to a singing “baby pigeon” who seeks to charm him with the word “love”.

Maybe I could hold your hand? And together we can understand about love. …Do you ever feel that life’s unfair? Because everybody hates you and no one cares. But if you follow me, maybe you will see that love is everywhere. … Your heart beats hard like a big love drum, calling for your special one. So be patient because your special one just might come. He’s made for her and she’s made for him. That’s the way it’s always been. And it’s perfect and it’s pure. And it’s protected with a ring. That’s the way that love always goes, like a flower it grows and grows. And it’s forever and forever. And we all worship our king, our king, our king. His name is Malcolm and he is the king of love. …This is your chance to start anew. All we’re asking you to do is change your name and clean your brain and forget about all you ever knew. …Now wear this ring and join the king and you will never be alone.

Becky and Joseph are currently accepting donations to their future projects, even though their Kickstarter project ended in June 2014.

These donations will be treated in exactly the same way as the Kickstarter pledges and added to the overall production budget of the series and into producing and posting out the rewards. But remember, the official kick-starter project deadline has already passed so any paypal donations we receive will not appear in the total figure pledged on the Kickstarter page.
