British Army Band Plays the ‘Star Trek’ Theme in Honor of Sir Patrick Stewart at Buckingham Palace

The British Army’s Band of the Grenadier Guards played the classic Star Trek theme in honor of Sir Patrick Stewart, who died on October 28, 2026, at age 86.

This royal performance, during the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace in London, was all the more poignant because Queen Elizabeth II knighted Patrick Stewart in 2010. King’s Guard Tours captured the tribute.
