Benevolent Man Provides Food for Over 4,000 Wild Green Parakeets in Chennai, India on a Daily Basis

A truly kind and generous 62-year old man named Sekar takes time out of his busy day as a camera repairman to feed over 4,000 wild green parakeets that flock in and around the coastal Indian city of Chennai. Known to many as the “Birdman of India”, Sekar wakes up exceedingly early to provide the waiting birds with the nourishment they need for the day.

Parakeets gather on wires in front of Sekar’s house on September 23, 2015 in Chennai, India. A BIG-HEARTED bird lover has been feeding thousands of wild parakeets twice a day for 10 years – from the comfort of his own home. Among the hustle and bustle of Chennai in southern India, 62-year-old Sekar – known as ‘India’s Birdman’ – rises at 4am to prepare the feed for his feathered friends.
