While following in the Anarctic footsteps of explorer Tom Crean for RTÉ in 2011, award-winning Irish photojournalist Charlie Bird had the opportunity to observe and photograph the local wildlife. This included a particularly affectionate seal who preferred to snuggle with Charlie rather than pose for his camera.
