A Woman Stalked by a Lone Wolf For 12 Hours In the Canadian Wilderness Uses a Bear to Escape

While walking in the wilderness in Northwest Territories, Canada, Joanne Barnaby and her dog Joey were stalked by a lone wolf for 12 hours. She was able to end the ordeal when she heard a bear cub separated from its mother and decided to walk in that direction which lead to the mother bear scaring away the wolf.

“Out of desperation I decided to walk towards a cub that had been separated from her mom,” Barnaby said. “They were a fair distance apart from each other… I was hoping that the mama bear would find the wolf that was also behind me before I reached the cub.”
