A Short Animated Interview With Jack Black About Growing Up in Southern California
The California Sunday Magazine and Google Play commissioned Montreal-based graphic artist Nicolas Ménard to create a short animation based on an interview with Jack Black for their California Inspires Me series. In the short, the musician/comedian discusses growing up in Hermosa Beach and the effect that nearby Los Angeles had on his formative years.
I always like it that I was close to Hollywood. You could feel the power surge of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles into the adjacent communities. I think when you live that close to the throbbing dream, you have this feeling it’s so close you can actually attain the life.
