A Clever 3D Printed ‘Open and Closed’ Sign That Can Be Easily Changed by Turning a Gear
Maker, designer, and engineer Matt Harrison has created a clever 3D printed open and closed sign design that can easily be changed by the turn of a gear.
Inspired by Ikeda Yosuke’s open/close sign design which relies on gravity and relatively frictionless joints, I decided to design one using planetary gears to drive the movement of the letters.
