Internet consultant Terence Eden recently created a story in the style of classic Choose Your Own Adventure interactive fiction novels that plays out on Twitter. Each step, of which there are 23 total, has its own Twitter account with a tweet that points to two different Twitter accounts–unless of course the player has met a grisly end.
Eden notes that he’s not the first to attempt such a story, but thinks that previous attempts left something to be desired.
What’s interesting is that they both use URLs to direct the user to the next step of the game. That’s certainly a time-saver for the creator (as we shall see) but has a few disadvantages.
