Adam Savage Visits the Famous Dinosaur Skeletons at the Museum of Natural History in New York City

Adam Savage visited the famous dinosaur relics and skeletons housed at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, filming there for the first time. Paleontologist Dr. Roger Benson was more than happy to show Savage around. He also showed Savage one of the museum’s jewels – the skull of a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

It’s our FIRST time filming in the hallowed halls of the American Natural History Museum and we kick off with one of the most exciting discoveries ever made: T.rex! Roger Benson — Macaulay Curator, Division of Paleontology, AMNH — explains to Adam Savage the history of the museum’s original T.rex skull, and how it not only changed paleontology, but pop culture forever.

Dr. Benson previously explained how dinosaurs get their names and how fossils are defined.
