How Three Disney Musical Numbers Were Reimagined in American Sign Language

Walt Disney Animation Studios and Deaf West Theatre in Los Angeles shared behind-the-scenes footage showing how they reimagined three Disney musical numbers in American Sign Language (ASL): “The Next Right Thing” from Frozen 2, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, and “Beyond” from Moana 2.

The team focused on concepts and emotion rather than a word-for-word transcription, integrating ASL into each musical performance.
