Two Years After Her Death, Brenda Schmitz’s Christmas Wishes for Her Family Are Granted

In this incredible heartbreaking and heartwarming story, Brenda Schmitz, a woman who passed away from ovarian cancer in 2011, asked a friend to pass a letter along to radio station, Star 102.5 for their Christmas Wish program. It was Brenda’s wish to have this letter read to her husband when he found his new lifetime partner. In the letter Brenda expressed her love to her husband David, to her children and particularly to Jayne, David’s fiancée, to whom David proposed two years after Brenda’s death.

“I have a wish for David and the boys and the woman and her family if she has kids also, I want them to know I love them very much and they always feel safe in a world of pain.

The beauty and elegance of this letter is beyond words, so much so that her Christmas wish of a Disney vacation for eight, while absolutely amazing, almost pales in comparison to the power of Brenda’s thoughtfulness and love for her family.

Brenda’s letter, in its entirety, can found at the Star 102.5 site.
