Overhead View of Attendees Rushing In to Strategically Stake Their Place at the Bryant Park Film Festival

Office worker Sarah B. and several of her co-workers watched from the 40th floor of 1095 Avenue of the Americas in New York City, as attendees of the Bryant Park Film Festival pensively waited along the edges of the park for the festival to begin. Once the signal was given however, they rushed into the center of the park in order to strategically stake out the best spot for their blankets. As one worker said, “It’s like ants surrounding a dead cricket” while another likened it to watching a flower bloom.
